The EDGE initiative
In 2023 the CWB delivered a pilot project for non-tech women founders to explore opportunities to incorporate digital innovations in their business to support business efficiencies and growth. The participants developed successful strategies to build their businesses and wanted more. Based on the feedback from participants and the facilitators the program has evolved.
In partnership with the Province of NS and ACOA, the CWB is proud to introduce the The EDGE Initiative – Giving entrepreneurs a competitive edge through modern strategies. The EDGE Initiative encompasses the concepts of Experimentation, Design, Gain, and Evolve, capturing the program’s focus on innovation, strategic thinking, and business transformation.
- Experimentation – Discover new opportunities and strategies through an experimental approach.
- Design – Create innovative business solutions.
- Gain – Build knowledge, skills, and market advantage.
- Evolve – Adapt and grow for long-term success.
- Be a NS registered business for two years
- Minimum gross annual revenue of $100,000
- Business models: B2B and/or B2C – not B2G
- Non-Tech focused business
- Be open to exploring innovative techniques
- Ability to commit 2-3 hours weekly on the program/homework
Cost: $1,000 per participant (plus HST)
