We are so very excited to announce that there’s a big Tare Shop milestone coming up: The Tare Shop is turning three years old!!

That’s right, on October 3rd we will have officially been open and operating as a store for three years. We are so grateful to everyone who has made this possible from our staff and suppliers to our customers – we really couldn’t do this without any of you.

To celebrate we’re going to be holding a $5 DIY Body Scrub station at the Halifax store. We’ll provide all the ingredients you need, all you have to do is BYOJ (Bring Your Own Jar)*. There will also be a raffle at the store. All in-store purchases, including the scrubs, will net the customer one entry into the raffle and there will be additional raffle tickets available for purchase at the counter.

We’ll be selecting 2 winners for the raffle and each will win $50 worth of gift cards to neighbouring businesses. All proceeds from the Body scrub station and the raffle will be donated to next quarter’s 1% Forward Partner: Halifax Mutual Aid.

* For folks without their own jars/containers you will have the option of purchasing a (cleaned and sanitized) container from our donated container library for $0.50
