Member Spotlight: Colette Robicheau Celebrates 25 Years of Impact with Organize Anything

When Colette Robicheau launched Organize Anything 25 years ago, she wasn’t just starting a business—she was embracing a calling. What began as a personal joy in helping others declutter their spaces and simplify their lives has grown into a flourishing business dedicated to creating personalized systems that save time, reduce stress, and empower individuals to thrive. Today, as a professional organizer and productivity coach, Colette works with clients ranging from busy professionals and entrepreneurs to executives and families navigating unique challenges.

“My mission has always been to meet clients where they are and help them unlock their potential,” Colette explains. “At the heart of my work is the belief that everyone deserves a space—and a system—that supports their goals and brings them peace of mind.”

Colette’s journey to entrepreneurship was anything but conventional. With past careers spanning hotels, a winery, a modeling agency, and radio and television sales, she honed her skills in project management and marketing before leaving the corporate world in 1999. “My last day at CBC was December 31, 1999,” she recalls. “The world was coming to an end with Y2K, so I was primed to take a leap of faith into the unknown.”

That leap led to the creation of Organize Anything, where Colette combined her knack for organization with her consulting expertise. Over time, she noticed a deeper need among her clients. “I saw how their cluttered desks, files, and piles spilled into their homes and lives,” she says. “Adding coaching to my services allowed me to empower people with accountability not just in their homes but in their businesses and daily routines.”

As someone with an ADHD-style brain, Colette brings a unique perspective to her work. “I understand the challenges firsthand, and it’s given me a deep understanding of how to create practical, ADHD-friendly strategies,” she shares. From using tools like reminders and checklists to embracing body doubling—a practice where two people work together to stay focused— Colette helps clients tackle tasks without feeling overwhelmed. Her philosophy? “Progress, not perfection. Start small, build momentum, and focus on what works for you.”

Colette’s impact extends far beyond her business. In 2012, she founded 100 Women Who Care Halifax, a giving circle that has raised over $700,000 for local charities. “It’s a simple idea with a profound impact,” she says. “Each member donates $100 quarterly, and together, we’ve supported countless non-profits doing incredible work in our community.”

Her dedication to community service aligns seamlessly with her professional mission. “Giving back has always been a cornerstone of my work,” Colette says. “It’s about creating systems and opportunities that make life better for everyone.”

As January marks a time for fresh starts, Colette is focused on helping clients set achievable goals and create systems to support them. “Personally, I use this time to evaluate my own business and choose a guiding word for the year,” she says. “This year, it’s ‘gentler.’”

For those looking to start their own businesses, Colette offers this advice: “Take time to understand your market and what unique value you bring. Build relationships, seek support, and don’t wait for everything to be perfect. Start small and learn as you go.”

Having traveled to over 50 countries, Colette credits her solo journeys with broadening her perspective and deepening her compassion for cultural differences. “These experiences have boosted my creativity and strengthened my ability to connect with people from all walks of life,” she says. “Each journey has shaped my understanding of the world and inspired me to approach challenges with an open mind.”

Reaching the 25-year milestone is a moment of pride and reflection for Colette. “It reaffirms the importance of staying committed to your mission, adapting to change, and building strong relationships,” she says. “I’m incredibly grateful for the support I’ve received from clients, collaborators, mentors, and organizations like the Centre for Women in Business.”

Colette’s story serves as a testament to the power of passion, purpose, and persistence. From helping clients transform their lives to making a lasting impact on her community, Colette continues to prove that with the right tools and support, anything is possible. “Whether it’s helping someone organize their workspace, navigate a career transition, or embrace the challenges of ADHD, my goal remains the same: to help people thrive at work and at home.”
